We are seeking a Data Scientist in Apple’s Special Projects Operations Analytics Group to sustainable processes and drive performance improvements within a fast-growing field engineering organization. Your expertise will support key operations-based initiatives within a Research and Development organization that will massively impact critical deliverables. We want you to help drive strategy for data architecture, reporting, and analytics landscape to support a key vertical.
Deep expertise in utilizing Advanced Analytics, and statistical methods to transform data into useful insights, key performance measures, actionable solutions
Strong data-querying skills (SQL and/or Spark, etc.) and experience with a scripting language for statistical modeling and data processing (e.g., Python, R
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, and interpersonal skills with history of building and managing cross-functional partnerships and confirmed ability to handle multiple projects with strict deadline
Proven operational effectiveness with innovative, collaborative, product focus, and perspective to “get things done”
In this role, you will partner with leaders to:
-Identify and formulate specific business questions by working with internal business partners
-Explore databases to design consistent and explainable definitions of key concepts, sustainable and scalable processes
-Deploy simple yet relevant reports to be used for making timely decisions
-Develop Machine Learning Models to automate processes to gain operational efficiency
You’ll ensure accurate, comprehensive, and clear insight is easily available within the organization.
Education & Experience
Degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Mathematics, or similar quantitative field. Prefer 5+ years of Analytics experience.
