Junior Software Engineer

Job Summary: As a generalist engineer you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of areas within our team depending on your unique skill sets. These opportunities include Research, prototype, and implementing native augmentations to our proprietary cross-platform game engine. This includes writing custom new features for the engine to enhance the functionality of the collaboration applications we develop across all the platforms we support.


  • Work with the Pipeline team to enable more robust integration of our tool suite with our engine allowing the Content and UX teams greater control over the interactive scenes within the applications.
  • Develop improvements to and assist in the maintenance of our CI systems to ensure our applications adhere to CI best practices.
  • Work with the UX and Content team to create the user flow and interactions for each application to create an engaging experience for the user.


Desired Skills/Experience: 

  • Experience developing applications with Unreal Engine or another commercial game engine via both C++ and scripting systems on multiple platforms
  • Expert in C++ with exceptional problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience with other languages in use and desire to learn additional languages as needed:
  • Python, C#, Java, Batch, Shell
  • 1 – 4 years of relevant professional experience developing commercial products in a team environment with at least one released product.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, tools and technologies we use:
  • Windows, Linux, OSX, CMake, Gradle, Git, Bitbucket, Perforce, Swarm, Jenkins, Docker
  • Experience profiling applications CPU and GPU usage
  • Knowledge of different software development methods such as Test-Driven Development, Unit Testing, Agile etc.
