Technical Program Manager, Artificial Intelligence/Software Engineer
Mendel is looking to hire an experienced Technical Program Manager, Artificial Intelligence/Software Engineer to facilitate coordination between its growing AI, Clinical, Data Integration & Engineering departments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage various technical project timelines, proactively assessing, and defining target metrics and proper resource allocation to ensure on time delivery and customer exhilaration.
- Exercise seasoned critical thinking skills and case specific technical judgment, working with a large, int’l and cross-functional team.
- Develop plans for growth and scalability and continuously refine processes to improve software engineering productivity
- Clearly and concisely communicate schedules, and specific updates in a timely manner internally to key stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers on timelines and deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years Experience in program management, release management and/or engineering management working on software engineering projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Resourceful and comfortable with ambiguity—able to quickly formulate and test hypotheses with limited information.
- Master’s, degree, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical field.
- Experience with lifecycle management in a fast-paced software environment.
- Ability to exercise technical judgment in solving software engineering challenges involving bug triage, source control, continuous integration, etc.
- Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
- Entrepreneurial spirit/ “get it done” mentality and willingness to wear different hats.

- Must be willing to relocate to the SF/Bay Area
- Prefer candidates to start immediately
- Background in Healthcare, & Machine Learning is a plus.
